Do I need to participate in your programs in a certain order?

No.  All of our programs are offered independently from one another.  None of our programs require prior participation. 

Do you have scholarships available?

Although most participants are sponsored by their employers, a limited number of partial scholarships are available.

Do I need to apply to participate in your programs?

Only Leadership Grand Rapids and Leadership Advantage require an application.  

You may register at anytime for Inside Grand Rapids*, Download GR* and Leadership Forum* events via our website or by contacting us.  To discuss a Customized Leadership Program, please contact Kevin Stotts.

The Center for Community Leadership's programs are all designed to connect and enhance leaders. 

Our programs encompass three areas: Community Orientation, Leadership Development and Community Engagement.

Community Orientation

Are you in a new leadership role or need to better understand our community? Learn more about what makes Grand Rapids so special through our orientation programs:

Inside Grand Rapids is a 2 1/2 day community orientation program designed for professionals new to Grand Rapids or serving in a new leadership role.  IGR provides an "insider perspective" into key issues.

Download GR is a 1 day community orientation program designed for 20-something professionals establishing their careers in Grand Rapids.  DGR is a unique opportunity for people new to Grand Rapids, or those who have lived here their whole lives.

Leadership Development

Are you looking for a personal growth opportunity? Join other leaders with similar goals in our leadership development programs:

Leadership Grand Rapids is a 9 month community leadership program designed to empowered participants with a comprehensive understanding of our community's challenges and opportunities, providing a broader knowledge of the community and their role as community trustees.

Leadership Advantage is a is a unique skills-based leadership program that offers established an emerging leaders an introspective and intense "graduate-level" program to exercise and expand your leadership and critical thinking skills.

Leadership Forum is an open-event series designed to stimulate community involvement as well as engage current and emerging leaders in dialog and action.
